Svala Rún Sigurðardóttir

Consultancy Division Manager

Svala Rún has a BA in Industrial Economics and an MSc in Industrial Psychology. She has more than 10 years’ experience in quality management, first as a personnel and quality consultant with Gallup Consulting then as quality management representative at Íslandsbanki, and subsequently for about 6 years as quality manager at Samskip hf.

Svala Rún has also worked as lecturer and part-time tutor at university level in quality management, personnel management and change management. She worked at Stjórnvís, the society for progressive management, and has given many lectures on quality management, management and organisation, and has published articles.

Erla Konný Óskarsdóttir

Consultant

Erla Konný has a BA degree in Psychology and an MA in Public Governance with specialisation in information delivery. She has many years of experience in consultancy and management. She worked for three years for an international computer company in Iceland, dealing with development and project management, quality management and internal financial management.

Erla Konný worked for 12 years in the US as consultant for a computer and consultancy firm and as a project manager on the development of computerised teaching materials for the US Government; she supervised the development and management of information websites for the Anti-Smoking Council, has held courses and lectures, directed international conferences and taken part in policy formation.

At Focal she specialises in projects relating to document safety and information management.

Kristín Björnsdóttir

Sales and Marketing Manager and Consultant

Kristín is one of the first graduates in Business Administration in Iceland with a Masters in Marketing, and probably the first woman. She has many years’ experience in marketing management and in teaching and consultancy for the implementation of marketing and records management systems. She has given countless lectures on marketing and records management. Kristín conceived and directed the development of the first marketing planning system to be marketed in Iceland, in 1998.

Gunnhild H. Öyahals

Consultant

Gunnhild studied Industrial Business Management at the Icelandic Technical University, and Business Administration at the Aarhus Business School. She specialises in projects involving quality management. She is one of the main specialists in the FOCAL quality system and has extensive know-how of process development and operation. She has both technical and professional knowledge of quality management - vitally important when building quality systems from scratch.

Óskar Þór Þráinsson

Consultant

Óskar Þór has a BSc in Library and Information Science. He specialises in projects involving records and information management. He has widespread knowledge and experience in the management of information, in its presentation and organisation, and in the design and operation of information systems. His know-how and years of experience in IT consultancy are invaluable where the design and implementation of information and records management systems are concerned.
